The Piast Castle Trail runs through the stronghold. Książ Castle is the third largest castle in Poland. The fortress was rebuilt many times, it bears the features of several architectural styles such as eclecticism, gothic, baroque and neo-renaissance. The building has over 400 rooms about 600 with farm buildings, its area is about 11 thousand. m² excluding the area of ​​the castle cellars. Along with a dozen or so buildings next to the castle itself, 16 822 m² of usable space belongs to the administration of Książ. During World War II, Książ Castle fell into the hands of the Nazis of the Third Reich, who made significant reconstructions in it aimed at adapting the castle as Hitler`s seat, which, however, was not fully implemented. During the reconstruction carried out by the Nazis, most of the historic interior of the stronghold was destroyed.
